Proper bike fit will naturally enhance performance because you are comfortable and relaxed. If you are on a bike with incorrect proportions for your body you’ll spend most of your ride struggling to find a better position. This can result in negative experiences or worse, physical damage. At GEARS Bike Shop we have the tools to size you and fit you properly on your new bike to ensure you buy the right bike, or you can get fit on your old bike to improve on last year’s ride and last year’s tri time. In addition to bike size we consider seat angle, pitch, handlebar width, stem length, etc… We are a recognized BG Fit Centre (Body Geometry Fit Centre) with Master BG Fit Technicians and F.I.S.T. certified.  F.I.S.T. Certification is through Dan Empfield and can be reviewed at www.Slowtwitch.Com.  Body Geometry fitting is the method Specialized Bicycles uses, developed by Dr. Andy Pruitt from the Boulder Centre for Sports Medicine.  Take some time and Google Dr. Pruitt and see what a vast amount of knowledge he brings to the table. It will take about one hour to fit you properly. Come prepared with your bike, your cycling clothing (shorts), the pedals and shoes you ride with. • BIKE FITTING – $100
(1 hour establishing a neutral comfortable position, as well as basic explanation of pedal stroke, clicking in-and-out of pedals, and gear shifting)

• BODY GEOMETRY 2D ROAD FIT – $250
* This fit process includes an 18 point biomechanical assessment before you get on the bike. The 2D fit will address XY plane issues (ie. the side profile of fit) from both left and right sides, and focuses on range of motion issues.  The end result will be a neutral position to optimize your time on the bike. This fit is suited to those who suffer from complaints such as minor discomfort like tight IT bands.

• BODY GEOMETRY 2D ROAD FIT with BG FIT DATA – $300
*Includes all the features of the 2D Road fit. Plus the added benefit of Specialized’s exclusive “DATA” Fit – Motion capture system designed by Silicon Coach. BG DATA allows us to assess your fit dynamically with the assistance of video.

• F.I.S.T. MULTI-SPORT FIT - $150
* Ideal for those riders looking to optimize their current road bike for use in Triathlon. This fit optimizes the riding position with aerobars (aerobars sold separately).

• BODY GEOMETRY 3D ROAD FIT – $325
*The 3D fit process is similar to the 2D process but is more in depth with a 28 point Biomechanical assessment, with particular attention on the knees range of motion and its ability to produce linear power, specifically for those with leg length discrepancies. The 3D fit will address X,Y & Z plane. The end result is to increase and improve power output, transfer and efficiency.  This fit is also suited to those riders with recurring knee issues.  It makes use of cleat placement, shims, and specialized foot beds.

• BODY GEOMETRY 3D ROAD FIT with BG FIT DATA- $375
* Includes all the features of the 3D Road fit. Plus the added benefit of Specialized’s exclusive “DATA” Fit – Motion capture system designed by Silicon Coach. BG DATA allows us to assess your fit dynamically with the assistance of video from 2 angles.

• F.I.S.T. TRI BIKE FIT - $325
*The F.I.S.T fit axioms are the most common in Triathlon for Pros and AGers alike. Designed by Dan Empfield and Slowtwitch.com. The F.I.S.T. Fitting system deals with aerobar drop, cockpit distance, seat angle, seat height and much more.

• BODY GEOMETRY 3D TRI FIT - $350
*the 3D fit process is similar to the 2D process but is more in depth with a 28 point Biomechanical assessment, with particular attention on the knees range of motion and its ability to produce linear power. The 3D fit will address XY&Z plane. Added emphasis is place on Aerodynamic positioning, specifically suited to the length and duration of your targeted race distance. This fit is ideal for those with leg length discrepancies. The end result is to increase and improve power output, transfer and efficiency. This fit is also suited to those riders with recurring knee issues. It makes use of cleat placement, shims, and specialized foot beds.

• BODY GEOMETRY 3D TRI FIT with BG FIT DATA - $400
