Buying a Kids Bike from Gears, gives you future options: Gears ½ Back Program
When you purchase a kid’s bike at Gears you will have the opportunity to trade it in, upgrading to a bigger size in the future. Bicycles considered for the trade-in program must be in good condition. At the end of the 1st year of initial purchase, we will offer 1/2 of the purchase price paid towards a new bike. For each subsequent year, another half is deducted.
Considerations:
We take into consideration the state of the bike. Parts and labour will be deducted from the trade-in total. For example, worn tires, torn grips, frayed cables, worn brake pads, ripped saddles, plus labour. We look for rust and scratches. If the bike, after 3 years is not retail presentable, we cannot take it as a trade-in but suggest private sale or donation instead. Customers are not obligated to trade a bike in.
A single trade-in will be considered towards a new sale, ie. We are unable to give credit for 2 or more trade-ins towards 1 new bike. A bike must come back whole, ie it can’t be missing any parts including the Training Wheels on a 14/16”, it was sold with. If the bike is not complete, it is not considered for the program.
