Morning Glory ~ a racehorse that runs faster in morning workouts than afternoon races.

Morning Glory Cycling Club

Morning Glory ride is a collection of like-minded cyclists who love to see the sun rise. We gather when most of the city is still sleeping and take to the streets while the air is fresh and commuting traffic is nil. We share in our passion for cycling and fitness while striving to be stronger, faster, better, and smarter. Nobody gets left behind and shouts of encouragement are constant as we all suffer up and down the hills and turns that confront us each morning.

Now in our tenth year of riding, our members number nearly 1,200 across three chapters in the GTA. We are a Club, first and foremost, but we have strong participation and results with our Racers, and a strong program for our Youth riders based on our local Grass Track programs and partnership for performance youth athletes with NCCH.

From humble beginnings in Leaside with 2 rides per week, our Club now is proud to support three chapters in the GTA – Leaside, High Park and Oakville – with rides happening all seven days a week. As one of the biggest advocates of cycling safety in the country, we are especially proud of our Marshal program, supported by Humberview Group. EVERY ride has dedicated cyclists leading out the rides and providing support to any rider in need.

The Morning Glory Rides for all chapters meet weekdays in the morning at 5:40 am for a 45-50 km bike ride, and start at 6am and 7am on the weekends for longer rides up to 100 km.
