Affectionately called the “mother ship” our Port Credit shop is the foundation of the Gears community and our home base. Our original shop, Gears Port Credit, has been a steadfast fixture and link to the local cycling community for 3 decades. This shop has witnessed a lot of change over 30 years, yet continues to remain relevant and very much at the forefront of all things cycling.
In addition to being the first shop, Gears Port Credit, play a very important role as the administrative centre for our business. It’s also were you’ll find many of our veteran staff, who helped us define, develop and create our distinct Gears Culture. From this core… our business grew, and continues to more forward.

It all starts with a passion for bicycles. But that’s only the beginning. Our staff are our greatest assets at Gears and we are very proud of the team we’ve been able to build over the years. And like any good team, work ethic, leadership, inclusiveness, inspiration and learning all play an important part in our success.
From our managers, technical leads, sales associates and building, one thing we all share, is a passion to share our passion. We take pride in the introduction of cycling to new riders and love to share our experiences with all who ride. Our staff are a great reflection of our customers… we ride, we race, we commute, we explore. We are cyclists.

Gears was built on Technical Service and Repairs. From those early day as a one man shop to today’s Regional and Local Service centres, maintaining and repairing bicycles is foundational to our business.
From simple single speeds and urban commuter bicycles to the latest in hi-tech materials, components, electronics and e-Bike technologies, our Technical Team have the skill-sets and training to keep your bike in top-notch condition.
Drop your bike off at one of our stores, or have us pick up your bike at your home and office and drop it back off once its ready.
